How does "MobileNote" feature work?
Simply put, "MobileNote" feature allows you to take note wherever you want, as long as you can send emails. Doesn't matter if it's your mobile device, or a public computer.
By activating the "MobileNote" feature, you will obtain a MobileNote address. To take notes, just send notes to the address as emails.
Your Pagico software will automatically retrieve those notes at times, and those notes will be saved as QuickNotes in the Pagico database you're using.
To retrieve notes, your computer needs to be connected to the internet. When retrieving the notes, you will be able to see a text label "Synchronizing..." in the right upper corner of the Pagico window.
Can I send html messages to my MobileNote address?
Currently, no. But we're working on it.
Do I have to keep my computer on all the time?
Definitely not. Pagico synchronizes with our server every once in a while. All the messages on our server will not be deleted until they are retrieved.
So, whenever you launch your Pagico, or your computer becomes connected to the internet, Pagico will retrieve all the messages at once.
Can I turn on/off this feature for some time?
Sure. Whenever you want to turn it off for some reason, you can do it in your preference panel, by unchecking the checkbox.
So whenever you want to turn it on, just check it agian. You'll get the same MobileNote address.
Am I supposed to save my MobileNote address to my address book (is my MobileNote address static)?
Yes, your MobileNote address is static, and please save it to your address book for easier further uses.
Actually yur MobileNote address is pretty easy to memorize --- it's generated based on your real name.
Will someone guess my MobileNote address and send me SPAMs?
Well, that said your MobileNote address is easy to memorize, it's not likely to be guessed.
However, we recommend you to keep this address privately, just in case someone may know it and send you SPAMs.
Why can't I receive my MobileNotes?
Well, good question. The answer is --- because there were bugs. But fortunately, we're sorting them out every day.
However, on Oct 23rd we sorted out some serious bugs (most of which were compatibility-related) that kept most of you from receiving notes.
So if you haven't been able to receive notes, now it's a great time to give it another try.
How often (interval) does Pagico sync with the server to retrieve notes?
The first time Pagico syncs with our server would be 5 seconds after you launch Pagico. After that, the interval of two syncs will be 15 minutes, which won't be a problem as you're supposed to send those notes while you're not using your computer, right?
